GALA Festival have, in a short space of time, established themselves as one of London’s most forward thinking festival organisers.
In their first year, the small independently owned music festival booked the likes of Norman Jay (MBE), Crazy P and Nightmares On Wax to name a few. They came back the following year increasing capacity and line-up with Horse Meat Disco, Mood II Swing, Late Nite Tuff Guy and relative newcomers Afriqoui. It was November last year when the organisers announced they found a new location for 2018’s festival which meant they could scale-up again increasing capacity and yes, you guessed it, line-up.
This year, on Sunday 27th May over at Peckham Rye Park, GALA Festival welcome back Crazy P Soundsystem for their third year. Midland, Glastonbury & NYC Download’s ‘Gideön’ and Honey Dijon are set to play ‘The Pleasure Dome’ stage, hosted by Horse Meat Disco. Derrick Carter performs a special Disco Set on the main stage and is joined by Greg Wilson, Norman Jay, Ibiza legend ‘Alfredo’ plus more. BBC Radio 1’s newest resident ‘Bradley Zero’ hosts his very own label stage ‘Rhythm Section’ with Maurice Faulton, Mr Scruff and newcomers Chaos In The CBD among others.
